Wild Hare Cottages Midlands, Kwa-Zulu Natal

Wild Hare Cottages offer self-catering accommodation on the Midlands Meander with beautiful hilltop views of the Lions River Valley.

The cottages are set between Lions River and Curry’s post, they’re secure and not too far off the N3 Highway (2.5 km’s)

The four individual, well-appointed self-catering cottages each have their own open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. The bedrooms have a bathroom en-suite, with the option of two single beds or a double bed. (The fourth cottage sleeps four people with an additional bedroom upstairs.)

Amenities include heating, hangers, lovely cotton bedding and bath sheets, essential kitchen items, and a laptop-friendly workspace.

Ideal for couples who want a quiet weekend away, our self-catering cottages sit above the Lions River on the Midlands Meander.

Things to do

There is lots to do on the Midlands Meander!

Just five minutes from our cottages is the museum, and arts and crafts centre at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site.

Go wine tasting at Abingdon Wine Estate down the road – they’re a serious single vineyard boutique wine producer.

A short drive away is the well-known Piggy Wiggly Country Village which brings a variety of local shops together in one place. From Hides of Africa to a bakery, toy shop, chocolate-maker, furniture shop etc. … it’s the perfect place to find gifts.

Do a canopy tour or ride a popular mountain bike trail in the Karkloof forest  just half an hour from the cottages.

The self-catering cottages are close to many popular Meander restaurants like the Snooty Fox at Fern Hill and Caversham Mill Restaurant.

The cottages are in the same area as Corrie Lynn Farm Weddings and weddings and functions at Mulberry Hill.

Rates from R850.00 per night
