Tulbagh Mountain Cabins, offers a choice of unique cabins for an authentic country experience in the Tulbagh Wine Valley. The accommodation is located on a Private Residential Farm and Game Park at the foot of the Winterhook Mountains and a short drive from Tulbagh and only 1hour and 30 minutes from Cape Town.

Tulbagh Mountain Cabin

The Mountain Cabin is comfortably furnished with an outside open-air shower and bath area. The open-plan living space has a fireplace which opens onto a wraparound terrace offering uninterrupted views of Springbok and Zebras, and the Winterhook Mountains.

The cabin is comfortably furnished and offers accommodation for up to 5 guests. This log cabin consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an outside open-air shower and outside bath area. The main bedroom with en-suite is in the loft area and is furnished with a queen-size bed. The second bedroom is on the ground floor and is equipped with 2 single beds. A further mezzanine level has a single bed which is accessed via a staircase just above of the living room.

The open-plan lounge with fireplace and fully fitted kitchen opens onto a wraparound terrace offering uninterrupted views over the grazing fields where you will spot Springbok and Zebras and the stunning Winterhook Mountains. There is a thatched roof BBQ area for those late afternoons and evening braais.

A small river runs past both cabins which adds to the peace and tranquility. The farm also offers two outdoor swimming pools for everyone’s enjoyment. The farm is Sectional Titled, so you will encounter neighbours living on the park, walking their dogs and generally enjoying the splendour that is on offer.

“My husband and I spent a wonderful 3 nights at this home recently. The views of the mountains and nature preserve are amazing. There is a stream next to the home and antelope and zebra come to drink their multiple times a day. Amazing walking trails around the house. Kitchen is very well stocked. Comfortable beds with electric blankets. Wood burning fireplace kept us cosy on the one cold day we experienced. Nice shower with warm water. The deck space and wraparound views from the rooms are unique to this home and area. Home has wi-fi but we decided to take a break from work while there to really enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Deon was very kind to leave us some wine and snacks. He is very friendly and responsive, and we highly recommend his home to future guests”- Anurag Gupta

“2 Days of absolute bliss. Clean and beautifully decorated with a touch of old and new. Very tastefully done. Everything you need is on hand. Bind blowing views from each room. Stackable doors open to fresh air. a running stream and views of Springbok, Zebra, Egyptian Geese and more we probably didn’t spot. We have had the luxury of staying in both the Log Cabin previously and now the Bungalow.
