The Log Cabin Lodge, a boutique guest lodge, located 7.2km from the centre of our lovely and well-known Stellenbosch and nestled between wine and fruit farms, valleys, vineyards, and mountains.

From the moment you turn off the Devon valley road, till you arrive, you will be surrounded by working vineyards, fruit farms and beautiful landscaping. At The Log Cabin Lodge in Stellenbosch, they pride themselves to have one of the most breath-taking views in the valley

The Log Apartment

Based on the ground floor at The Log Cabin, The Log Apartment is a cosy little two-bedroom unit that makes you feel like you just walked into comfortable little family home, away from home. You will frequently bump into our beloved furry friends, our dogs Roxy and Simba, and 2 cats Venus and Sokkies.

The Pallet Cabin

For holiday tourists, travel enthusiasts and people who like to leave their mark in the world, The Pallet Room speaks secrets of a vast world with a multitude of experience. The cabin is constructed from recycled pallets that have transported goods across towns and cities—even across countries and continents. These rustic boards welcome visitors on a self-catered retreat in the Western Cape. These sturdy boards will support you as you rest on the custom-made furniture and take in the earthy smell permeating the air after a day filled with adventure. Each board spends the night telling stories of their travels from their youth: how it got that chip, what forest it grew up in, what the knot decorating its surface means to it… No two boards are the same and neither are the visitors that stay here.

The Cork Cabin

The Cork Cabin is a luxurious, relaxing retreat no matter what brings you to the winelands. Cork is an eco-friendly, natural material that comes from the bark of an evergreen oak tree. The cork walls make a statement, providing a focal point for the room’s design with an unexpected texture and appearance. Considering that the Log Cabin is surrounded by winelands, cork is an especially appropriate material.

The Barrel Cabin

Enjoy a comfortable stay in The Barrel Cabin at the Log Cabin. Nestled in the winelands of South Africa, the inspiration for this unique accommodation is appropriate for its surroundings. The Barrel Cabin comes from the reclaimed wine barrels that are used to furnish and decorate the suite. These retired barrels once held Stellenbosch wine, and now, the barrels are used as a unique accent wall in our comfortable cabin. The wooden barrels have an incredible patina from their years of service in the wine cellar. Just like the wine benefited from the cellaring process, the wood of these barrels has only improved with age. Spend your days touring the winelands and going on adventures and retire to the comfort of The Barrel Cabin in the evening for a restful night’s sleep. Enjoy the landscape from the beautiful balcony that overlooks the countryside. You can even sip on local wine while you take in the view. The Barrel Cabin makes for a perfect self-catered retreat in Western Cape!

The Difference Cabin

The Difference Cabin was inspired by the beauty and longevity found in nature’s oldest living trees. All the furniture you see is made from trees in the surrounding area. The old, twisted wood is a testament of endurance, strength, and beauty. These reclaimed South African trees provide a rustic design element and a reminder of the steadfastness of the world around us. Many different trees were used to provide a novel vacation experience. Swarthout from the Drakenstein area, Olienhout form the Klein Drakenstein area, and Grys Populaire were all used to build and furnish The Difference Cabin. Most of these trees were 100, 150, or even over 200 years old before they died of natural causes! These hundred-year-old trees may no longer be growing, but they still have a life of their own. Every knot, whorl, and indentation in the wood tells a story of the tree that once grew during the Western Cape winelands. When you stay in the Difference Cabin for your romantic getaway or family vacation, you’ll want to take the time to appreciate every detail.
