Linduli Farmstay Cradock, Eastern Cape

The Karoo town, Cradock, is situated on the banks of the Great Fish River. In the mountains surrounding the town, Linduli Farmstay rises from a dream of two men around a campfire.

On this wool and mohair farm you will get the opportunity to experience raw nature in the silence of the veld, the abundance of plant, wild and bird life.

Accommodation

Mountain Cabins A-Frame: (Spekboom) – (Minimum stay of 2 nights)

A luxury A-frame wooden cabin is built from wood that is a 100 years old. In building this cabin it found new life.

Each cabin is carefully positioned to ensure privacy and breathtaking views, ensuring guests with the opportunity to relax and recuperate body and soul.

Rates include a welcoming platter, homemade meals for brunch and dinner (please let us know your dietary requirements).
We are not licensed. You are welcome to bring your own alcholic beverages. We will provide the ice.
Amenities include towels, shampoo, shower gel, shower cap, coffee and tea with rusks.
There is no electricity at the mountain chalets, only limited recharge facilities for cell phones.
Warm water is available through gas geyser system.

Short Hike with experienced guide is included.

Nights and early mornings are cold up the mountain, make sure you bring warm clothing.

Tierklip Farmhouse

This farmhouse with its old world charm is booked as a unit to give guests privacy and an authentic farm experience.

The yard is well fenced in with a big lawn which made it safe for children to enjoy themselves.

Bed linen is provided but bring own towels.

Dining / lounge room with flat screen TV and well-equipped kitchen made for a comfortable self-catering stay.

It is 20km gravel road from reception, and can accommodate 12 adults in six bedrooms with 3 bath rooms.

No cell reception but Wi-fi is available.

Farm dam act as swimming pool to cool down the hot Karoo summer.

Peperboom

Under the old pepper trees you will wake up to the early morning beauty of dawn while you are greeted by the barking sound of the baboon look-outs and the gay sound of twittering birds.

Come and experience the serenity and calmness of the Karoo.

Peperboom Cabin

En-suite bathroom with toilet, shower and basin with shower towels.

Small refrigerator, microwave oven, kettle, single plate stove, cutlery, fan and heater.

Outside braai with wood.

Peperboom Tent

A permanent self-catering tent with electricity.

Double bed and 2 mattresses for children.

It is equipped with a microwave, kettle, single plate stove, cutlery, fan and heater.

Outside braai with wood.

There is a water tap 5m from tent.

Two beautiful bathrooms with shower, wash basin and toilet serve the campsite.

Peperboom Campsite

Our campsite consists of 3 stands under beautiful big pepper trees.
Each stand has an electricity
plug. You will need your own 30m lead.
Warm water ablution available

“When we booked Linduli Lodge for a weekend getaway we were hoping to have just a chilled weekend out of town! Boy oh Boy did we have way more than we hoped for! We have traveled across the breadth of South Africa and this holiday ranks amongst the top of our favorites so much so that we’re going to have an annual pilgrimage. From the welcome drinks and warm hospitality of Koot and Anna Marie we knew we had found our own jewel in the mountains of Cradock. There’s so much history to learn which is not obvious at a glance. The hiking trails are an adventurer’s dream helping you appreciate nature as God intended it to be. The meals were scrumptious and full of variety. I’ve got a mammoth task when I get back home to maintain the status quo!
The weekend was food for our body, soul, and spirit! Thank you for having us you’ve definitely left a positive mark in our lives and here’s to many more visits.
