Kapteinskloof Guest House Piketberg, West Coast

Kapteinskloof Guest Cottage is situated on a smallholding between Piketberg and Velddrif, about 180km north of Cape Town in the beautiful valley of Kapteinskloof. It is one of the oldest original homesteads in the area which dates back to 1831.

Tranquility and peacefulness seem to emanate from the whitewashed walls and permeate the surroundings – qualities which we highly appreciate and which we would like to share with you.

Enjoy the country lifestyle, go for walks, bring your mountain bike, go for a drive off the beaten track, admire the spring flowers, take a swim in our fresh, spring water pool or simply take a good book, find a spot under a tree and let time pass you by.

We now offer a portable KolKol wood fired hot tub. For an extra R200 per night you can relax in a lovely hot tub and gaze at the stars. A great experience.

Kapteinskloof is a fertile valley at the foot of the Piketberg mountain range. We are surrounded by a working blueberry farm. Birdlife is plentiful.

Kapteinskloof has an abundance of wild flowers in the spring and it is an excellent base for further exploration of the West Coast and Namaqualand flower regions.

40 km to the West lies Velddrif, Port Owen and the sea with kilometers of unspoilt beaches.
