“Beautiful B&B
I stayed here during a congress at a nearby golf hotel because I hate staying in big hotels. Lovely B&B; excellent care; lovely touches like a different breakfast every morning (even the vegans were happy; though they commented that it is difficult to travel B&B’s in South Africa if you don’t eat eggs); different flower on the napkin every morning; you notice the difference between an establishment run by someone who knows what the business is about”

Great stay
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Cathkin Cottage. The room was clean and comfortable with a big bathroom and tea/coffee/fridge facilities. The cottage is well situated for hiking and other activities in the area and the Drakensberg Sun Resort is only a short walk away so you can enjoy a lovely dinner and drinks without having to drive. We even saw a porcupine on our walk home! The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and served a delicious breakfast each morning. The pool was the icing on the cake after a long hot hike. We would highly recommend Cathkin Cottage B&B!””

Cosy little cottage with great service
The cottage is very well located, only a few minutes drive from the hiking area. We spent 2 nights there and enjoyed the calm and the fantastic service from host Roger and his team. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip. Everything was decorated and prepared with great attention to detail. Roger gave us lots of useful hints and was able to answer all our questions -thank you! We would definitely recommend this cottage to travellers.””

Beautiful and friendly
We felt very warm welcomed in Cathkin Cottage. The owner is very friendly and helpful. As the Fan didn’t work in our room it was immediately taken care of and fixed. The destination is situated very nicely and surrounded by a beautiful garden. The breakfast is delicious and upon request we were encouraged to use the kitchen for our own cooking in the evening. Absolutely recommendable””
