There are 3 x Cabanas which sleep 2 adults sharing only while 2 more Family Cabanas are available which each sleep 2 adults sharing plus 2 children Total sleeping accommodation for 10 Adults and 4 children Cabana 1,2 and 5 sleep only 1 or 2 adults sharing a Queen bed Cabana 3 and 4 are our family rooms and sleep 2 adults and 2 children. Both of these Cabanas have private braai / BBQ areas Cabana 4 is the largest Cabana and has restricted views but the inside has a private bedroom and full bathroom. Sleeping accommodation in Cabana 4 is for 2 Adults sharing with 2 young children Cabana 5 offers amazing river and bridge views from the comfort of the outside balcony. On a clear day you are able to see the ships as they go past. This Cabana has a separate bedroom with full bathroom en suite

Cabana 1

Featuring a full kitchen and comfortable lounge with flat screen TV including DSTV (Basic Package). A Queen-sized bed suitable for 2 adults sharing with en suite bathroom with a shower, This Cabana is the ideal stay for couples, business travelers and holiday getaways. Enjoy the stunning views of the mountain and river from the large patio with comfortable patio lounge furniture and a Dining table Additionally, whether you seek relaxation or a peaceful environment, this delightful suite caters to your every need. Additionally, enjoy direct access to the pool and entertainment area where a braai area, A pool table and dart board is available along with a dry bar and additional dining tables

Cabana 2

Cabana 2. Step into the spacious Cabana with original hardwood floors, boasting a Queen-size bed, A large lounge suite with Smart TV and DSTV (Basic package) with free Wifi. A fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and all appliances you need for a comfortable stay. A private ensuite bathroom with Shower, toilet and wash basin. Direct access to the patio with outdoor seating and dining suite overlooking the pool and also featuring views of the Umtamvuna Gorge and river as well as the Umtamvuna view Cabanas Garden. Its unique features and cozy ambiance make it a charming choice for guests seeking a delightful stay in a large living area. This is ideal for couples, business travellers and holiday getaways. Additionally, enjoy direct access to the pool and entertainment area where a braai area awaits you to light the fire. There is a pool table and dart board available along with a dry bar and dining tables.

Cabana 3

Cabana 3 offers self-catering accommodation on one of the most picturesque valleys on the South Coast. The Umtamvuna River acts as the border between KZN and the Eastern Cape. We are situated 2 hours from Durban and 8kms from the Port Edward beach. If its peace and tranquility you are after, Umtamvuna View Cabanas provides the perfect location for a retreat from city life. Cabana 3 is one of two family Cabanas and Features a queen-size bed, ample cupboard space and ceiling fans. A full en suite bathroom with shower, bath, washbasin and toilet. Bath towels and hairdryer provided. All appliance you will need as well as full set of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans etc. No need to bring anything except your personal items toiletries and food and drinks

Cabana 3 features a private braai area with seating or use any of the braais available at the pool deck or lower garden area.

Cabana 4

Cabana 4 – this is the 2nd family Cabana which is located at Umatmvuna View Cabanas. While situated behind the cabanas at the pool, this is a the biggest Cabana on the premises. There is a private bedroom with ensuite bathroom fitted with air conditioner plus a fan. The kitchen and lounge area are open plan with flat screen Tv and DSTV ( basic package) with free wifi. Leading from the lounge sliding door is a patio with dining table and a couch. A private braai just for Cabana 4 is located just off the patio.

PLEASE NOTE: This Cabana does not offer great views and is situated close to the parking and entrance area. Pool and communal barbeque areas have mountain views and can be utilized at any time

Cabana 5

Situated on the first floor with stairs leading up to it, Cabana 5 offers a luxurious open plan kitchen and lounge area with private Queen bedroom with ensuite full bathroom.
This Cabana features a spacious covered veranda with comfortable seating and spectacular views of the bridge and river as well as panoramic views of the mountain and property.
Inside is a full kitchen with stove, oven, Microwave, fridge, freezer and a dishwasher. There is also pots an d pans as well as all cutlery and crockery with bowls and more.
Enjoy a morning coffee or breakfast at the kitchen island which has seating for 2 and offers more views . Alternatively all this can be enjoyed on the outdoor veranda lounge or at the small table and chairs provided.
This is a luxury suite and is our only Cabana which has a full DSTV package as well as free wifi.. Undercover parking for this Cabana is also available on request.

My family and I had a great stay. The place was clean, neat and tidy. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the most beautiful view. The kids loved the pool. The host Louis was amazing. We loved our stay and will return if we in that area again.

“Umtamvuna Vew Cabanas is a truly a hidden gem !, We had the most amazing and relaxing stay in their spacious and beautifully decorated homes. Louis and Antoinette’s effort goes a long way and the tiny details really show. They are not only incredible hosts but the most amazing human beings from helping us with tours and attractions to even the little Christmas gifts on Christmas day ! They go out of their way to look after and please their guests, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a home away from home in Port Edward, because that’s truly what this place is, its central to so many lovely attractions, beaches and restaurants. not to mention the view from your cabana is incredible. we cant wait to visit them again soon xx”
