Seisoen Karoo Retreat in Richmond, Groot Karoo

Seisoen Karoo Retreat was built in 1854 in the historic Karoo style. This old manager’s farmhouse is situated in the tiny town of Richmond, in the Groot Karoo, South Africa.

Richmond is a small farm town boasting some of the most majestic landscapes. The gabled farmhouse front looks over the gravel garden and a bevy of small ponds.

Seisoen Karoo Retreat is a self-catering farmhouse that can accommodate up to 4 guests comfortably and comprises 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms.

The first bedroom contains a king-size bed and an open-plan en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds and a shower en-suite.

The house has a well-equipped kitchen to prepare meals that is fitted with an oven and stove, a fridge, deep freezer and cutlery and crockery.

The beautifully furnished living area opens onto a patio with outdoor dining furniture and loungers, the ideal place to relax and enjoy the Karoo sunsets.

Guests can enjoy mountain biking, take long walks through the village or lie flat with a pile of reading material on the stoep and just enjoy this remote Karoo landscape

    “Wat ʼn aangename verassing het ons gekry toe ons uitgeput die afdraai na Richmond neem! Ek het nooit, ooit gedink dat so kosbare juweel so naby die N1 gelee is nie. Die pragtige ligte het ons uitgenooi om die gastehuis binne te stap. Die asemrowend dekor en gerief het my laat dink dat ek ʼn Garden and Home tydskrif deurkyk. Ek wens ek kon die gerieflike kombuis saamneem na my eie huis. My oë het die heeltyd opgeglip na die pragtige hoë plafonne. Styl omarm die luukse kamers en badkamers. Vars beddegoed laat jou vergeet van die stof en hitte van die Karoo! Ek sal weer en weer en weer Seison kies om af te pak en te vergeet van die pad wat voorlê of reeds afgelê is.
    Julle kan inderdaad trots wees op Jevonne en Christina en die res van die personeel by Seisoen wat alles eksie perfeksie en gaste ook veilig en gelukkig hou. Baie geluk met hierdie pragtige gastehuis!”
