The House

River Tree House is ideal for families and groups of friends, offering five comfortable bedrooms and space for up to 10 guests.

A minimum of three bedrooms can be booked, making the house flexible for smaller groups as well as larger gatherings.

The house combines comfortable accommodation with spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, making it a wonderful base for a relaxing coastal getaway.

Surrounded by indigenous flora and seasonal flowers, it attracts a wonderful variety of birdlife. Sit quietly with your morning coffee and watch for sunbirds and other species visiting the garden and river.

The natural setting also means that guests may occasionally spot local wildlife such as mongoose and porcupine.

Housekeeping

The house is supported by a friendly housekeeping team who are available to assist with additional daily cleaning, which can be arranged at an extra charge.

After a day of exploring, return to River Tree House and relax beside the pool, enjoy a braai with family and friends or simply sit on the deck and listen to the sounds of the river.

Rates & Booking

From R3,500 per night for a minimum of 3 bedrooms
4 bedrooms: R4,500 per night
5 bedrooms: R5,500 per night
Minimum stay: 2 nights
December: The entire house must be booked for a minimum of 7 nights at R6,500 per night
Longer stays: Special rates can be arranged for monthly stays

“Highly recommend this luxury stay with fantastic hosts.
River Tree House was better than expected – I saw another reviewer say that and can 100% agree based on our experience. The house is positioned on a slope above the Onrus River and there’s a garden path from the house to the river. There is lots of bird life (hosts provide binoculars which was a lovely touch). The house is beautifully decorated and exceptionally comfortable with all amenities, a large fireplace that was amazing in the winter evenings and a hot tub which we enjoyed. The hosts were very communicative and exceptionally kind and generous. ”
